Resurrection OPC is looking to extend our ministry of Biblical Preaching, God-Centered Worship, and Serious Christianity for Real Life into Lewistown, Pennsylvania and the surrounding Mifflin and Juniata Counties region.
Starting in December 2025, Resurrection will be holding local worship services every Sunday at the Lumina Center in Lewistown (18 East Third Street) for a three-month exploratory period.
Over the past few months, we have been seeking to gather Lewistown-area Christians who share a common desire to see a faithful church established in Lewistown to meet one another, get a taste of Resurrection’s current local church ministry, and build a shared vision for what a new church planting effort in Lewistown might look like.
Now, we are seeking by the grace of God to do more: to gather a worshiping community of believers in Lewistown under Resurrection’s oversight with the hope of planting a new local church, should this effort meet with the Lord’s blessing and provision.
Sunday morning meetings will take place at 9:30 a.m. on

– January 4
– January 18
– February 1, and
– February 15
Sunday evening meetings will take place at 6:00 p.m. on
– December 14
– December 28
– January 11
– January 25
– February 8, and
– February 22
For the morning meetings, the worship service will be followed by a Sunday School hour where you can learn more about a Biblical perspective on the church and the values and priorities that inform OPC church planting. The regular preacher for Sunday mornings will be Rev. Andrew Miller, Regional Home Missionary for the OPC Presbytery of Central Pennsylvania.
